Canadian pharmacies work to serve their customers better. They work to meet certain quality standards by providing facilities that dispense prescription medications reaching these standards of safety, quality, and value.
Furthermore, the pharmacy industry in Canada understands that improving your physical health should not deteriorate your financial health. The same high-quality medications manufactured under the strictest of standards in the United States and other countries is provided, but only at a fraction of the cost.

Moreover, there is also access to many generic equivalent drugs in Canada to increase the savings even more.

In a Canadian pharmacy, customers have the right to considerate and respectful pharmacy care. This right also guarantees that all communication, discussion, and counseling will be conducted as to protect the customer’s privacy. All prescription records pertaining to a customer’s drug therapy will be treated as confidential.
Canadian pharmacies also provide the customer with the right to competent counseling from a pharmacist.

They emphasize the fact that they want the customer to understand their medications and use them correctly.
The customer’s rights through Canadian pharmacies are more than just about great pricing and working to serve you better. It is about a better way to purchase your medications. Through Canadian pharmacies you can find this better way.

One topic many are loathe to discuss but need to talk about is the current state of health care in the United States, from both an economic and demographic standpoint. Health care costs have increased steadily over the past decades, and if these costs continue to rise, it may not become sustainable in the United States.

The following graphic shows a breakdown of the various causes of increasing costs of healthcare in the United States. Not only does it show the leading causes of costs, but also the leading causes of deaths in the United States with appropriate breakdowns. Diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and heart disease lead the charts in causes of death and costs. The various graphics show how alarming the state of health care is in the United States, and should demonstrate how dire things may be.

Access to clean air is increasingly becoming a big and difficult issue for people with respiratory problem. As forest burning, haze and manmade chemicals becoming increasingly common, people with asthma or multiple chemical sensitivity has no other choice but to spend more time indoor.
Unfortunately, indoor air quality could be worse than outdoor. And one of the best solutions for these types of people is to get a home air purifier.

Before you buy one for your home, here are 3 useful tips we have for you.
1. Buy a HEPA. Skip Ionic Air Cleaners
Let’s get clear on this crucial but basic information. An ionic machine uses electricity to charge airborne pollutants and make it cling to a plate while the a HEPA machine uses a motor to suck dirty air and trap unwanted particles using one, two or even five filters.
An ionic air purifier saves you money in the short term but is known to emit ozone – a harmful gas that could endanger your health. It will not reduce odor but will actually add the ozone smell to your home.
A HEPA air purifier on the other hand is more expensive because you need to change your filters when they are clogged. But it is more effective and safer than ionic air cleaners.
If you are serious about clean air and your health, skip ionic air cleaners and go for a HEPA machines instead.
2. Look at the Decibel Ratings
Some air purifiers are effective – but they are also loud.
For some people, noise is not a problem since they need the machine for their busy and noisy kitchen restaurant. But if you want one for your room, balance your need for clean air and noise.
Some modern machines (like one from Rabbit Air) are smart enough to automatically detect if you have turn off your light. It will then reduce its fan noise and speed because it assumes that you are going to sleep.
But most old fashioned air purifiers (like ones made by Austin or Allerair) do not have such smart functions.
The more fan speed a machine has, the more control you have over its noise.
3. Take Your Calculator Out
Before settling on a HEPA air purifier, calculate the long term filter cost of your machine.
The best air purifier should be able to function around the clock. Because of that, your filters will need to be changed regularly. Machines without a pre-filter will normally get dirty faster and need more frequent filter change.
Some machines will need a filter change every six months while others with washable filters will only need to be changed every 5 years. Look at those factors before buying. A cheaper machine could be more expensive in the long term if the filters are more expensive or need frequent change.

The electricity costs of such machines are not a big factor because most machines use energy lesser than a light bulb.
Those are 3 tips that you need to juggle before you buy an air purifier. Whatever you do, do not buy an ionic air cleaner. They are ineffective, dangerous and are a waste of money. Even Consumer Reports have retracted their earlier recommendations on such machines.

There’s not much we can do about the state of clean air outside our home. But you can do something with the air quality in your home. We hope the 3 tips above will be a good start for you in selecting the best air purifier for your home.

Muscle soreness is a major reason many people avoid regular strength training. The truth is, post-workout soreness gets less severe for many people after they’ve been training regularly for awhile.

However, methods of dealing with the soreness can help people adapt to a new exercise regimen or make long-term efforts more comfortable. Here’s 5 ways to handle muscle soreness, most of which will shorten recovery time as well.

Cold Baths

Immersing sore muscles in cold water reduces muscle soreness compared to doing nothing, according to scientists at the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland. Whether it’s more effective than warm baths or active rest has not been officially determined, but ice baths have been well-known to athletes for a long time for this purpose.

Results can be had by soaking in a bathtub full of cold water or going for a dip in a cold pool or body of water outdoors. This should only be done for a very short time to prevent hypothermia. Patients with heart or circulation problems should avoid cold baths because too little known about potential side effects.

Active Recovery

Fighting exercise-induced muscle soreness with more exercise may seem ridiculous, but small amounts of low-intensity exercise drive blood flow and nutrients into inflamed muscles to help them heal more quickly.

Walking, jogging, swimming, cycling, or yoga are all excellent ideas for active recovery. The amount of time required for this purpose is quite small; 15 minutes of light exercise is usually enough. Too little is better than too much, which could actually delay recovery.

One way to incorporate active recovery into a daily schedule is to get rid of the car and just walk or ride a bike for transportation. This has the added benefit of eliminating the expenses of gas and car insurance and the savings can be used to pay for a gym membership or fitness equipment.

Mentally Reframe The Soreness

It’s been said that pain is weakness leaving the body. Whether one agrees with that sentiment or not, it has a grain of truth when it comes to exercise and recovery. The day after a hard workout, it’s easy to start wondering why one bothers to keep doing something that causes so much pain the next day.

By reframing ideas about what this soreness means, we can maintain drive and even turn the pain into a motivator. Bigger muscles, less fat, greater stamina–redefine the problem of soreness and the pain may soon become more of a motivator than a problem.

Anti-Inflammatories

Since muscle soreness is directly causes by inflammation, anti-inflammatory drugs and supplements can reduce the pain and sometimes contribute to faster recovery.

NSAIDS such as acetaminophen and ibuprofen work well in emergencies, but actually extend recovery time when they’re used for more than a day or two. In contrast, enzymes such as bromelain and papain not only kill the pain but also reduce recovery time.

Massage

In 2008, researchers at Ohio State University found that Swedish massage reduced recovery time. Rabbits that received massage had almost fifty percent better recovery in muscles that received the massage treatment. Since massage is known to reduce inflammation and ease soreness as well, this is an excellent way to recover more quickly after physical exertion.

By using the above strategies with your fitness routine, those days of pain that used to follow every workout will stop being a problem. Exercise is more enjoyable when you understand how to manage the soreness that follows it, which translates to greater adherence to long-term plans and more fitness goals met as a result.

Most men today are too swamped with their professional and personal lives that they are already finding very little time to take care of their bodies. Exercise is a very vital part of health and, although any guy would want to spend some hours in the gym to get a good workout, many of them are having a hard time squeezing it in their already hectic schedules.

Probably the best time that you have to potentially do something productive is during your hour-long lunch break. In this seemingly miniscule amount of time, you should already be able to carry out a decent routine to maintain a healthy and fit body. The best part about this is that such a routine is not too demanding so you do not end up soaking wet with perspiration by the time that you get back to work in the afternoon.

Cardiovascular and Lower Body

A cardiovascular workout will only consist of a half-hour walk every day. Simply switch to wearing your walking shoes and go around the block where your office building is situated. If the weather is not very favorable for this activity, you can use the stair case in your building. This will be a good way to work those muscles and increase your heart rate. For a constant progression, increase your pace weekly and set goals to increase your distances. Alternately do these two cardiovascular sessions to add some variety to your activities.

Upper Body

After doing your 30-minute aerobic session, you may now proceed on working your upper body. Return to your office and find a clean spot on the floor that is big enough to accommodate your entire body. Proceed in doing a series of pushups to tighten your body. Do these three times a week after your daily cardiovascular routine.

Basic pushups are best for your pectorals, triceps, and rear deltoids. True to its name, this is the typical pushup that we are all so used to seeing or doing. According to your fitness level, perform 3 sets with 10 to 15 repetitions each. Once you get the hang of doing it, you can then just increase the repetitions. You can even elevate your feet on the chair for increased resistance.

Close-grip pushups are more geared for the triceps, inner chest, and trunk muscles. Use the starting position that the typical pushup would require but bring your hands together so that you can form a triangle with your index fingers and thumbs. This is the kind of pushup that requires more balance so you need to stabilize your body and work your trunk muscles as you are performing your reps. Stretch your arms and wrists before doing this as this might hurt your wrists the first time around. Also, do the same reps as the basic pushup then increase them as you get a hang of it.

Wide-grip pushups are best for your chest, rear shoulders, and parts of your back muscles. This is a kind of pushup that is the complete opposite of close-grip since you will be positioning your hands beyond the lines of your shoulder, with your fingers pointing forward. Among the three, this kind of pushup is considered to be the most demanding so you will very easily tire with this.

These pushup variations should already do s good job at keeping you fit and strong. To complete your entire routine, you can incorporate abdominal exercise once in a week of sets that have 20 to 30 repetitions. Do not forget to eat a healthy meal and enjoy these routines that you are doing in your work place.

Staying healthy is more than just losing weight and eating right. Sure you can lose 15 pounds with the right exercise, but a key part of lifetime fitness is having fun! Without the enjoyment that goes with working out and staying healthy you are going to be tempted by sweets and laziness.

So instead of doing endless walks on a treadmill there is a super-fun type of exercise equipment that you might have overlooked: the trampoline.

Trampolines are lots of fun to use, but most importantly they can be part of your lifetime fitness goals. With the right size trampoline you can safely bounce to get a good cardiovascular workout. This will help keep your heart and lungs healthy as you age, and keep your core and leg muscles active. Unlike traditional weight lifting, jumping is a full body workout that hits your muscles from a variety of angles. This promotes natural muscle growth.

You can even get into rebounding. It’s become a very popular activity lately because proponents claim it helps your lymphatic system.

If you install your trampoline in your backyard, you can also get lots of good Vitamin D from the Sun. This is an essential vitamin that we all need, but without the right amount of sunshine each day your body cannot produce it.

To get started in the wonderful world of trampolines we suggest you first pick a budget you are comfortable with. The really cheap trampolines you see at Walmart are not really a good deal. They will not last as long as a professional model. You can read some trampoline reviews online to find the right one for you.

5 Ways to Beat Anxiety by Matt Foden
Over the last 3 years I have been battling against a condition known as Generalised Anxiety Disorder. It’s basically when anxiety and general worry start to take over your life to the extent where it can become very difficult to do normal things. I initially started suffering from severe anxiety at my last job, where I worked in a high pressure corporate environment. I started getting bad panic attacks, and suffered from prolonged periods of insomnia too. It got to the stage where I would feel really badly dizzy and anxious in public place. I remember the very worst places for me were supermarkets!
Over time I have learned a number of different coping strategies. Whilst I still get occasional panic attacks, their severity is much less, and they happen less frequently. I guess I just decided that I wouldn’t let the condition stop me from leading my life! Anyway, here are my top 5 strategies for beating anxiety, should you start to suffer the symptoms:
1.	Get a cat- Yes, an odd tip I know, but there have been numerous studies proving the links between cat ownership and reduced stress levels (and consequently reduced blood pressure). Whenever I have a stressful day I go and talk to my cat…. She’s not at all judgmental!
2.	Meditate- I don’t attend meditation classes. Instead I take 15 minutes out each day to listen to my meditation programme on my i-pod. It helps to still the body and mind, and really helps to slow you down. It’s a great stress and anxiety buster! Just go onto I-Tunes and do a search for meditation- there are loads of great programs out there
3.	Exercise- I’ve recently overhauled my lifestyle and I make sure I work out 4 days a week. If I can’t be bothered to hit the gym then I go for a brisk walk. It helps to release feel good chemicals into your body, and it gives you a physical release of all the stress that builds up inside you. This really does work!
4.	Improve Your Diet- The quality of the ‘fuel’ you put into your body is critical not only for your physical health but also your mental well-being. I’ve really cut down on sugary and yeasty foods, and I’ve found that my anxiety levels have diminished as a result. Eat foods with a low GI score and you’ll find you’re much more even tempered!
5.	Cut the caffeine- This has been really hard for me, as I love fresh coffee, and can’t resist a flat white from Costa Coffee. The thing is, if you are prone to anxiety then caffeine makes the symptoms worse, and can badly affect your heart rate. It’s best to either cut it out completely or reduce your intake.

I hope these 5 tips prove useful. Even if you don’t suffer from anxiety you should find them beneficial to your physical and mental well-being!

It’s already the end of October, so that can only mean that brutal cold is almost here. It’s almost time to get the fluffy jackets, shovels and salt out, because we all know how much fun that is! While most people are just about ready to go into hibernation for a few months, you’ll soon find yourself in a bubbling pool of fat in no time if you don’t know how to take care of yourself when you don’t exactly feel like going outside. Below are some ways to stay healthy and in shape during the winter so you don’t fall into the deep end.

Against Your Better Judgment, Don’t Just Sit There

It might seem like a great idea at the time to sit around and stuff your face full of popcorn and cookies, but you’re just setting yourself up for disaster if you’re in slug-mode for the winter. Even if your plans don’t involve venturing outside into the cold, do some things inside your house to stay active. While super exciting activities like cleaning the house or doing other chores help burn calories and keep you on your feet, nobody in their right mind finds those activities even the least bit exciting.

Instead, try an exercise routine in place of the boring stuff. Even a 20 minute routine consisting of cardio, weight lifting and stretching will do wonders.

Do Your Best to Eat Healthy

Normal people like junk food, and it is perfectly fine to eat some of it here and there. But the only problem is that a lot of people have no self control and go to town on food with detrimental nutritional effects. Controlling your desire for junk is a challenge that is worth the struggle, because by the time spring rolls around, you won’t be regretting your decisions to pig out.

Try eating sweet fruit or low-calorie snacks that contain your guilty pleasures. At least if you have a combination of junk food and healthy food, you’ll minimize the damage. For actual meals, the same combination will also be adequate for a person who is nearly a hermit during the winter months

Find Indoor Activities to do

Not necessarily in your own home—although they very well could be—but try and find things to do that are inside away from the cold. If people suggest outdoor activities, lazy people in hibernation will scoff at the idea like they’re being asked to chop onions. By having the destination inside somewhere, you’re at least eliminating the miserable, cold feeling that you can conjure up even before going outside.

Indoor soccer, hockey, basketball or even tennis are all satisfying and fun things to do inside.

Go to the Gym? Please?

Is this one obvious or what! Lift some weights and run around for an hour or less is all I ask. You would be surprised at how easy it is to follow a routine a couple of days a week every week. I understand that most people think they don’t have time for the gym, but literally anyone can spare 30 minutes from their day to go to the gym if it means being healthy and fit. Don’t say “I don’t have time for the gym” or “I just can’t find the time.” Yeah, well, you’re reading this now, aren’t you? You could have been back already. Go.

There you have it, four ways to stay fit during the winter. Is it too much to ask?

Man Boobs or “moobs” are the terms used to describe the condition, in which men develop breasts. It is a problem for teenage boys and men everywhere and can cause low self confidence. If you feel that man boobs are becoming a problem for you, there are a number of steps that you can take to get rid of them.

Know the causes of man boobs

Man boobs can be caused by either excess body fat or a hormonal balance. Getting rid of them will vary depending on which of these is the underlying cause. Teenage boys who feel they are developing man boobs should not worry as it is a normal part of puberty that will resolve on its own.

Changing your diet

Reducing overall calorie intake is a big step in getting rid of man boobs. The easiest way to do this is to eat lean proteins such as chicken and fish and supplement starches with vegetables. Processed foods and saturated fat intake should also be minimized. This means no fast food or fried foods. Just doing this will help to reduce overall body fat and hence, the appearance of man boobs.
Stop drinking alcohol (beer in particular). Many persons drink the majority of their calories without even realizing it. A large part of this comes from drinking alcohol. If you are serious about getting rid of man boobs, stop drinking alcohol. In much the same way beer is associated with causing a “beer belly” it also causes man boobs. Beer contains the enzyme aramotase that increases the hormone estradiol levels which is an underlying cause of man boobs.

Exercise

Required tools

Exercise Bike

Treadmill

Jump rope

Weights / weight bench

Many people think that simply doing chest exercises (anerobic exercise such as weight lifting) will get rid of man boobs. This isn’t entirely accurate. Weight lifting will build the muscle under the fat but not remove the fat itself. To burn fat, cardiovascular (aerobic) exercise needs to be done. This can take the form of running, biking or even jumping rope. Overall body fat will decrease and man boobs will be on their way out. Aerobic exercise should be supplemented by weightlifting to tone muscles, keeping in mind that you should do fewer reps with more weight to increase muscle mass.

Tips and Warnings

If you are under the age of 18, remember that excess fat around the chest area normal part of development. If you are still worried, see a doctor to confirm.

Try to stick to the diet and exercise routine. Starting and stopping will just increase the time it takes to get rid of man boobs.

Steroids and tobacco products should also be avoided

If man boobs persist, there is a chance that you may have the condition Gynecomastia, that occurs when the body produces an excess of estrogen and not enough in your system and not testosterone. Gynecomastia can be caused by certain medications and may not go away with diet and exercise. In these instances, surgery may be necessary.
